He enlisted for the Civil war at West Middlesex and went to the front, but after the seven days’ battle of the Wilderness he contracted a fever and died. [HMC 1909?]

He was a member of Co. B, 10th Pa. Vols., and died from wounds. [Irwin Family, 25]
