General Notes: Husband - Francis Bartlett
He was educated at the Waterville Academy, Maine. When about twenty-one years of age he went to Wisconsin, and was appointed register of the U. S. Land Office at Green Bay, under President Lincoln. Later in life he engaged in the lumber trade at New Richmond, Wisconsin, and was also in business at Milwaukee. He organized the Bank of New Richmond, Wisconsin, in 1878, being elected its president and serving until his health failed. He then traveled for his health, but finally, after an heroic struggle, died at Clifton Springs, New York.
He and his wife were the parents of four children.
