General Notes: Husband - John Phillips
His father was the pioneer of the Phillips family in Cecil Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
He married and they settled on the Wait homestead, and on the 31st of March, 1802, he purchased one hundred and sixty-six acres of the tract, and September, 1808, one hundred and thirty-six acres adjoining. On this land they lived and died.
He married and settled at a point known as Phillips' Rocks, where he had a summer resort of 380 acres of land. He was an elder in the Hill Church at Canonsburg.
