General Notes: Husband - David [2] Whitla


He was born in Scotland and emigrated to America with his parents when nine years of age. On attaining his majority he removed [from Carroll County, Ohio?] to Brighton, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, where he married. He returned again to Ohio, but finally located permanently in New Brighton, Pennsylvania, where he followed his trade as a saddler.

He lived in Old Brighton, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, removed to a farm near Alliance, Ohio, came to New Brighton, in 1859, and there his death eventually occurred.
