Edinboro, Erie Co, PA
He owned much of the land which, with his brother-in-law (Mr. Taylor), he afterward platted into eastern Edinboro. He was a successful farmer; built and operated a saw mill later owned by his son, Isaac R. He was a school director and a tireless promoter of education.
