Lurgan Twp, Franklin Co, PA

He remained on the farm until he was nineteen years of age and for nine years engaged in clerical labor, a portion of the time in Ohio. He located on the homestead farm on Paxton Run, Franklin County, in 1856, and thereafter had charge of the homestead interests. He was a member of the A. F. & A. M. and of the I. O. R. M., and served as township auditor. In politics he was a Democrat.
