After graduating as a physician from the Hahnemann College, Philadelphia, he located at Duluth, Minnesota, and later was appointed to a professorship in the Minnesota State College at St. Paul. In 1895 he removed to Denver, Colorado, limiting his practice to diseases of the eye, ear, nose and throat. He held a chair in the Denver Homeopathic College.
