General Notes: Husband - Jesse Putnam
He enlisted in 1776 in the Continental army, serving six months as a private, and participating in the battle of White Plains. Later in life he applied for a pension, which was granted.
He settled near Brattleboro, Vermont, where he was a tiller of the soil until 1811, removing at that time to Boston township, Erie County, New York, where he again engaged in agricultural pursuits, continuing that occupation the remainder of his active days. Retiring from farm life, he accompanied his son Daniel, in 1830, to Farmington township, Warren County, Pennsylvania, and spent his closing days free from care.
He and his wife were cousins; she died before he left New England.
