General Notes: Husband - Simon P. Schall

He was reared on his father's farm, and after receiving a common-school education, learned the trade of carpenter, which he followed for fifteen years. He then engaged in farming, which he followed thereafter. He owned a farm of one hundred and thirty acres, some six miles from Kittanning, Pennsylvania, on the Kittanning and Leechburg road. In addition to farming Mr. Schall made a specialty of live stock, which he raised for the eastern markets.
He was a trustee of the Methodist Episcopal church, of which he was a consistent member. He was a republican in politics, filled various township offices.
