He was murdered by his common-law wife June Keefer; she stabbed him to death at a hotel.

Brother of Mrs. Leo Stankovick; Mrs. Lawrence Karkowsky, Mrs. Howard Ames, Kenneth, Arthur, Carl, Glenn and Allen Prindle. Father of Ransome, Jr., Stanley, Dale, Lawrence, Danny and Gwendolyn.
