General Notes: Husband - John Seebold, Jr.

He learned the milling business with his father, which business he followed for a number of years, but later turned his attention to farming. During boyhood he was able to attend school for only a few weeks each year as his services were needed in the mill.
Originally, he was a Whig in politics, later a Republican, and by his fellow citizens he was called upon to serve as supervisor, school director, and overseer of the poor in his township.
In religious belief he was a Lutheran.
