General Notes: Husband - Jacob Bauder
He was born in Allegheny City, Pennsylvania, and grew to maturity in Allegheny County. He accompanied his parents to Butler County, and remained with them until 1865, when he purchased a farm in Muddy Creek township, on which he lived for seven years. He then returned to the homestead farm, where he thereafter resided, being the owner of 225 acres. In April, 1861, he enlisted in Company H, Thirteenth Pennsylvania Volunteers, and served three months. Politically, he was a Republican, was a member of Portersville Lodge, Number 909, I. O. O. F., and was one of the leading farmers of Muddy Creek township.
