General Notes: Husband - Thomas Stockdill

He was born in Ireland and at an early day came to America with his parents, who located in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, purchasing a farm on which they made their home.
He grew to manhood on the old homestead, and then came to Porter township, Jefferson County, where he bought 180 acres of timber land, from which he developed a fine farm. The first buildings he erected were a hewed-log house and round-log barn.
