General Notes: Husband - Ruel Peterson

He was a native of Sweden, and when a young man emigrated to the United States, settling near Stoystown, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, where he followed his trade, which was that of a basket-maker, and also cultivated a farm. He belonged to the Whigs and for a long period filled the office of justice of the peace. He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran church.
