General Notes: Husband - Maj. Alexander Culbertson
He lived at Peoria, Illinois, about 1853 on a farm. He had lived in the far west prior to that.
He was in the Battle of Ft. McKenzie, Aug. 28, 1833 (Indian battle). Maximilian, prince of Wied of Austria, visited America at that time and admired Major Culbertson very much. Lauds him highly in his book of Travel in America. Major Culbertson's picture hangs in the Public Library at Ft. Benton, Montana. Also a picture of the Indian battle with Culbertson thereon.

She was the daughter of the Chief of the Blood or Blackfeet Indians.
