General Notes: Husband - Francis Whitmire, Sr.
He was one of the earliest settlers of Oakland Township, Butler County, PA. He came from Berks County in 1798, with his wife and family, and settled on a tract of land in the neighborhood of Boydstown, which he purchased of Stephen Lowry.
He and his wife had nine children; only one, John, was still living in 1883.
