General Notes: Husband - David H. Wolfe

He spent the greater portion of his childhood and youth on his father's farm, adjacent to the farm he later owned. He gained his education at the local district schools, and continued to make his home with his father until he had reached the age of twenty-three years, when he was married. For sixteen years after his marriage he resided on one of the farms belonging to John M. Fennell, and for the following four years he gave up this kind of life and lived in Greensburg, where he was engaged in business as a partner of Charles Hileman, the two gentlemen forming the Greensburg Trading Company, which met with a considerable degree of success. In 1913, however, Mr. Wolfe purchased the farm upon which he had been born and returned there and made his home on the old place. The section of the country where the farm was situated was inclined to be a trifle too rolling to make farming easy, but Mr. Wolfe made it one of the most productive in the entire region. He was a staunch Democrat, as nearly all the members of his family had been for many years. He held the position of road master, having under his charge several miles of road and highway for the condition of which he was responsible.

General Notes: Wife - Sallie Belle Bash

Her parents both died while quite young and she and her four siblings were reared in the family of their father's uncle, John Michael Fennell, a wealthy farmer of Loyalhanna township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, who rendered much assistance to each and presented each of the brothers with a farm.
