General Notes: Husband - Charles Finley Vensel
He was born in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, and came with his parents in early childhood to Fairview township, and later to Donegal township, Butler County, where he grew to maturity upon his father's farm. He afterwards engaged in the oil fields as a rig builder, and later as a driller, and followed this business a number of years. In 1889 he located on a farm, which he greatly improved by the erection of a substantial house and other buildings. He was for some time engaged in the livery business at Millerstown, and devoted considerable attention to stock raising. The family was connected with St. Paul's Reformed church. Politically, he was a Democrat, and in 1891 was elected township auditor. He was a member of Millerstown Lodge, K. of P., in which he was vice chancellor.
