He was a cabinet-maker and carpenter by trade.
He and his wife were of the Quaker persuasion.
James Yates, one of the parties employed by Thomas Penn in 1732 to walk for the land purchased from the Indian sachem, Tedyuscung, was Mr. Dillon's paternal grandfather.
