General Notes: Husband - Joseph Patterson

He was one of the earliest settlers of Jordan township, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, where he improved a farm and became quite prominent. In religious belief he was also a Presbyterian, and in politics he was a stalwart Democrat, serving as justice of the peace for a number of years. He was of Scotch-Irish de­scent, while his wife was of German birth.
