General Notes: Husband - James Wilson
He was a miller by trade. He moved from Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, to Lawrence County, about 1797, and bought a two hundred acre tract from Mr. Holstein, who had made a settlement in Wayne township. Mr. Wilson worked at clearing this property. He came to his death by accident, as a tree fell on him when he was at work clearing his land; he was the first man buried in Slippery Rock Cemetery.
He was survived by his widow and one son.

She was born in Ireland, and was fifteen years of age when she came to America as part of her father's family.
