General Notes: Husband - Thomas Painter

He was of Scotch-Irish descent and came from York to Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, in 1787. In 1796 he purchased a farm on which grandson, Thomas W. Painter, later resided.
He was a Quaker in religious belief.
