General Notes: Husband - Dr. Luther Reily
On the death of his father he came to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and shortly after began the study of medicine with Dr. Martin Luther. In the War of 1812-14, he marched as a private in Capt. Richard M. Crain's company of volunteers to Baltimore, subsequently being detailed as assistant surgeon. At the close of the war he resumed the practice of medicine at Harrisburg, and subsequently was at the head of the profession there. Although not taking an active part in politics, he was more or less prominent in public affairs. He was elected to and served as member of the Twenty-fifth Congress.
