[John Stevenson] was born in Ireland, married in Scotland, and settled on Mingo creek, Washington County, Pennsylvania. [HAC 1889 II, 480]

[Levi Stevenson] was a native of Ireland, a Presbyterian who, migrating to the United States, came to Allegheny, Pennsylvania, where he was one of the earliest settlers. A pioneer in the county, he reclaimed from the wilderness a farm in Findlay township, where he passed the remainder of his life and finally met his death. [GPHWP, 187]
