General Notes: Husband - Henry Strickler

The Stricklers of Franklin County, Pennsylvania, are of German-Swiss descent, and came there from York County, Pennsylvania, near the Lancaster County line. Henry Strickler was the first of the name to locate in Franklin County, settling near Greencastle in the year 1807.

After disposing of his interests in York County, Pennsylvania, to his brother Jacob, he removed to Antrim township, Franklin County, in 1807, where he purchased several hundred acres of land near the present village of Clayhill.
