General Notes: Husband - William Barr

---

He acquired his education in the district schools, and remained with his father until he was twenty-four years of age. He then rented a farm in Brown township, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania, and cultivated it for two years, after which he bought the old Barr homestead, and there farmed successfully until he reached his sixtieth year. He was a Whig in politics and was an earnest member of the East Kishacoquillas Presbyterian church, in which he was an elder for many years.
