He attended Grove City College and Metropolitan Chiropractic College in Cleveland, Ohio, and was licensed to practice chiropractic in Pennsylvania. He began practicing in Franklin, PA, in 1946. As an avocation he worked on a degree in psychology and related subjects at Gannon College in Erie, PA.

She was employed by Polk Center, Polk, PA, as a Teachers Aide for fourteen years. She took disability retirement in October, 1980. She died after a nine month's illness resulting from sugar diabetes.
