General Notes: Husband - Johann Leonhard Streit

He resided in Bernard Township, Somerset County, New Jersey, until 1778 or 1779. He was among the signers of a petition to King George III for a charter for Lutheran churches from townships of Bedminster, Bridgewater and Bernard. He was an active member of the Lutheran church and is men­tioned many times in Muhlenberg's diary.
Apparently he moved to Hagerstown, Maryland, about 1778 or 1779, where his son Leonard lived with his wife Barbara. Also it is recorded that his son-in-law Rev. George Young (Johann Georg Yung) was pastor there.
