General Notes: Husband - John L. Neyman
He was reared on a part of the family farm later owned by his brother Josiah, and received one-half of the homestead.
In September, 1864, he enlisted in Company B, Sixth Pennsylvania Artillery, and served until mustered out at Camp Reynolds, in June, 1865. The greater portion of the time his command was on guard duty in and around Washington.
Beginning in 1858 he was an elder in North Butler Presbyterian church, and was a leading member of that society.
Mr. Neyman was a stanch Republican, and always gave his support to the candidates and principles of that party.
