General Notes: Husband - David Montgomery Nesbit

---

He attended the public schools, the Lewisburg Academy under Mr. John Randolph and graduated from Bucknell in 1862. He at once enlisted in the Union Army and at the close of the Civil War became engaged with his brother in the lumber business and in the manufacture of office furniture at Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. In 1878 he retired to his country place, Maythorpe Farm, Northumberland County. In 1899 he took up his residence in Washington, D. C.
