General Notes: Husband - William A. Redmond
He was reared on the farm and attended district school; also had the advantage of the College at Grove City, Pennsylvania. For four years he was the bookkeeper for D. G. Courtney, lumberman, and then spent six years back on the farm. In 1896 he engaged in the hardware business, with Homer A. Rhodes, and in 1906 Mr. Redmond built the three story and basement building, known as the Rhodes & Redmond Block, into which he moved. The firm carried a full line of general hardware goods, and did plumbing and tinning work, etc. He equipped and owned the fixtures within the postoffice at Grove City. Mr. Redmond was connected with the Odd Fellows order.
