General Notes: Husband - John W. Rankin
He was educated in the public schools of his native county, and after leaving school devoted his entire attention to farming; he had a splendid place in Elizabeth township. Mr. Rankin was an ardent and active republican, and occupied a prominent place in the public affairs of the township, having been elected to a position on the school board in 1902, and also serving for two years as tax collector of the township.
