Franklin Daily Leader October 1, 1900
Kernick S. Myers, aged 25 years, died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Solomon A. Myers of Myers' Mill, near Nickleville, Friday morning. A month ago while going home from Emlenton, the horse which he was driving ran away, throwing the young man out of the vehicle. He alighted on his head, shoulders and it is thought these hurts caused congestion of the brain.
During the month preceding his death, pains in his head caused him much agony. He was an exemplary young man and enjoyed the friendship and confidence of the entire community.
The deceased is survived by his father and mother, four sisters and four brothers. The funeral service took place from the Georgeville M.E. Church, conducted by Rev. Sutton.
