General Notes: Husband - Henry Myers

He was born near the town of Berlin, Somerset County, Pennsylvania. He was brought on April 19, 1814, by his parents, to Westmoreland County, where they located in Ligonier township, two miles north of the town of Ligonier. He received his education in the old-time subscription schools of that day and dealt for several years in stock which he drove over the old pike to Philadelphia. In 1842 he purchased a farm which he then tilled and upon which he resided. He was a republican in politics, held many township offices and was an earnest member of the Ligonier Valley Brethren church.
