General Notes: Husband - George Troutman
He was of a German descent, an ancestor having come to America at an early date. In the year 1823 he and his wife came with their family of six children and settled at Brookfield, Ohio. [HMC 1888, 877]
This family descends from German ancestors, the father of George Troutman coming to America from that country and settling in the Cumberland valley, Pennsylvania. He was a farmer, married and left male issue. [GPHAV, 739]
He came from Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, to Clarion County at an early day, locating near where Callensburg now stands. He rented a farm, but not liking the location moved to a place near Perryville, but still not being suited, he moved to Ohio, opposite Sharon, Pennsylvania, where he bought a farm which he cultivated until his death. He and his wife were members of the Lutheran church. [GPHAV, 739]
