General Notes: Husband - Andrew Barr
He was reared on his father's farm, and was educated in a subscription school of his neighborhood. He and his wife were members of the United Presbyterian church, in which he was an elder for thirty years. He was a Republican, in politics, and filled several of the township offices at different periods.
