He was a native of County Tyrone, Ireland, immigrated to Adams County, Pennsylvania, prior to the Revolutionary War and subsequently removed to Westmoreland County. From him and two of his brothers, who fought in the war of the Revolution, descended the Morrow family.

He emigrated from County Tyrone, Ireland, to Adams County, Pennsylvania, prior to the Revolutionary War, and subsequently removed to Westmoreland County. He, with several of his brothers who emigrated with him, were the ancestors of many of the Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Iowa, Kentucky and California Morrows. One descendant was the well-known Rev. James Morrow, of southern Ohio.
