She was a lady of marked talents as a writer and who enjoyed a remarkably liberal education, being a graduate of the Sharon high school, Slippery Rock State Normal and the Leland Stanford, Jr., University of California, graduating in 1931; was preceptress and teacher of English in the Edinboro State Normal, Pennsylvania, for a time, after which she spent much time in travel, going around the world.
