General Notes: Husband - John Weaver
In 1810 two brothers, John and Daniel Weaver, bought three hundred and fifty acres of land lying in Spring township, Centre County, Pennsylvania, near Bellefonte, and forming a part of the old Miles tract. Both were millers. Daniel worked at Roland Curtin's mill, and John at Magee's mill. [HCC 1883, 433]
During his early life, in company with his brother, Daniel, he engaged in milling, leasing a mill at Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, in 1808, but his later days were spent in farming in Spring township. He and his brother Daniel erected the stone building on Allegheny street in Bellefonte, then known as the Centre County Bank, later known as the residence of R. C. Curtin, Esq. During the war of 1812 he was drafted, but sent a substitute. In religious belief he was a Presbyterian, and his political support was ever given the Democratic party.
WFT lists him as the son of John Frederick Weaver (1803 - 1885) but the dates listed make this obviously impossible.
