General Notes: Husband - Richard G. Nelson
He came to Butler County, Pennsylvania, late in the eighteen-fifties from Evergreen, Allegheny County, being probably a native of that county. Upon his arrival Butler County, he located on a farm in Middlesex Township, later owned by his son, Alfred R., and there spent the remainder of his days in agricultural pursuits. A Democrat in politics, he was elected to various offices of trust in the Township. He and his wife were members of the Middlesex Presbyterian Church.
