General Notes: Husband - James Duff Rubright
He was born in Franklin township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and received his education at the Elmwood School. On completing his course of study he became the assistant of his father in the management of the home farm, remaining there until the time of his marriage. At that time he took up his abode on the farm which had been the property of his father-in-law, and during the many years of Mr. Rubright's management it yielded the most satisfactory results.
In the sphere of politics Mr. Rubright alligned himself with the Prohibitionists, being wholeheartedly devoted to the promotion of the temperance cause. He and his entire family were active members of the Methodist Episcopal church, rendering earnest aid in its work and support, he himself serving for twenty years in the office of steward.
