General Notes: Husband - Henry Wengert

He was educated in the district schools in Monroe County, Ohio, and returned with his father in the autumn of 1858 to Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where he followed the occupation of farming for the greater part of his life. He was a man of considerable influence in his community, affiliated with the Republican party, and served in the common council of the borough of Hufftown for two terms. He was a member of the Baptist church.
