He and his wife lived their whole lives in Conneaut, Ashtabula County, Ohio, except for a two year stay in California. He worked at the Bessemer railroad prior to California. He took a job at a Navy shipyard in California. He returned and worked at the Exomet in Conneaut till retirement. Ed was very active in life: He was the president of the Red Cross in Ohio. He was a life-long member of the Conneaut Fish and Game Club. He was a member of the Conneaut Coin Club. He was very active in the First Baptist Church in Conneaut. He also helped develop the first Conneaut Fire Station. It started in a garage then the new station was built. He served his whole life there, reached at Asst. Fire Chief. He was one of the first EMT's in Ohio. Ed served in the US Navy during WW2. He was stationed on the USS ASFD2 which was a floating dock stationed over seas in Papua, New Guinea. He was an Electricians Mate EM2. His ship was torpedoed. Ed graduated Conneaut High School. He was a member of the Honor Society.

She worked at the Astatic. She worked at Browns restaurant and volunteered the rest of her life at Brown Memorial hospital. She spent so many days baking and cooking. She loved to do both. Every meal was well rounded, from main dish to vegetables. Never eat on a dirty table cloth. She was a very good homemaker. She loved family. She was very active in the church as well.
