General Notes: Husband - Jacob Shick
He was born east of the mountains in Pennsylvania, and became a pioneer settler of Armstrong County, where he followed agricultural pursuits until his death.
He came from Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, settling in Sugar valley, Red Bank township, Armstrong County, where he bought a tract of 140 acres. He cleared the land, built a log house and barn, and carried on general farming all the rest of his life.
He was a Democrat, and a member of the Steinmetz Lutheran Church, near Hawthorn, Clarion County.
