General Notes: Husband - Jacob E. Bare

He was a large and powerful man and weighed 285 pounds. He started to work in his father's grist mill at Yocumtown, York County, Pennsylvania. He moved from York County to Maddensville, Huntingdon County, in 1839, where he ran a grist mill for a number of years, after which he bought a farm near Maddensville. In 1867 he bought a store in Fort Littleton, Fulton County, and in this business he continued the balance of his life.
