General Notes: Husband - Judge Isaac M. Watt
He served as county treasurer, register and recorder, associate judge and justice of the peace at Indiana, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. He was a saddler by trade and carried on his shop at the same time he attended to his public duties.
He was born and reared in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, where he learned the trade of saddler. In early life he removed to Indiana, Pennsylvania, where he was engaged in the saddlery and harness-making business until 1865, when he removed to Homer City and followed the mercantile business till his death, when in the sixty-sixth year of his age. Judge Watt was honored with many offices of honor and trust by his fellow-citizens of Indiana County. He was justice of the peace for many years, served as county treasurer from 1836 to 1838, was register and recorder from 1839 to 1842 and during 1847, and was elected jury commissioner in 1861. In 1851 he was elected associate judge of Indiana County, which position he filled for ten years. He was a stanch republican and a member of the Presbyterian church.

She was born in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. Her parents having died when she was five years of age, she came to Indiana, Pennsylvania, to reside with her sister Mary, the wife of Leonard Shryock.
