General Notes: Husband - William J. Patterson

---

He passed his boyhood in attending to agricultural duties. He began the milling business in early life, and always followed that vocation.
He was a life-long Democrat in politics, and in religious connection was an elder in the Union Presbyterian Church of Patterson's Mills until 1876, when he withdrew from that body, and united with the Presbyterian Church at Independence, of which he was also an elder.
