General Notes: Husband - Rev. Samuel A. Taggart
He took his degree at Westminster College in 1865, studied theology at Xenia Seminary and was licensed to preach May 12, 1868. In 1868 he was pastor at Spring Hill, Indiana, and at Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, in 1870-1. In 1871 he joined the Presbyterian Church. He was one of the founders of the Y. M. C. A. of America, of which organization he was state secretary for seventeen years. He was also appointed secretary of the International Association.
