General Notes: Husband - Andrew Russell

---

He and his wife began their married life in a room sixteen feet square, but by patient industry soon accumulated a good property, and owned some very fine stock. He was school director and supervisor, and in religious faith was an earnest member of the United Presbyterian Church.

He was born in Chartiers Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, about three miles north of Canonsburg, and he was a large farmer there for many years, moving later to Mt. Pleasant Township, where he lived until a year and a half before his death, when he retired to Houston, where he purchased a residence.
