She was educated in the schools of Tidioute, Pennsylvania, finishing at the high school there, and taking a subsequent course at the New England Conservatory of Music at Boston, Massachusetts. She then took up evangelical work at Moody Institute, Chicago, Illinois, and was traveling with the Dr. Edward Brederwolf Company throughout the western states.
